Round 2: Day 71- Another beach run & Day 72: ARX, Chest & Back, No ChaLean Extreme
Day 71 - Another beach run
The run
End session - power walk
Pretty much same distance as before, but this time I divided the (warm up & run) and the power walk cool down.
Day 72 - ARX, Chest & Back
I had to skip ChaLean Abs this morning after doing half ass P90X. I think I did ARX half asleep, seriously. Didn't feel too proud with my Chest & Back performance, so why bother to do more exercise if I won't do great, right? Who knows, maybe I'll crank up ChaLean Extreme later after I got back from work. *finger crossed*

Round 2: Day 57 - Beach jog
After I wrote my post yesterday, my Garmin arrived in the afternoon! So excited over it, I decided to put use it for this morning beach jog.
Here what I got:

So apparently my heart rate only hovering within 150-160 range. Not even sure if I'm in my target zone or not. Btw, if our heart rate is high when we're exercising does that mean a good thing or bad? For example, our heart rate is not that high but you burn lots of calories versus higher heart rate and burning the same amount of calories. This matter still confuses me.
Also when I was jogging, I saw this middle age man, jogged at similar pace or even faster than me. I couldn't really pass him but I wasn't that far behind him either. Man, I gotta increased my endurance more.

Round 2: Day 56 - Synchronized jog/run with the music
This morning I decided to just have a nice slow jog through all 5-6 miles without stopping. However, despite my left knee was acting up I actually did a mini interval jog and run in between! I didn't do it by timing but more by my music. I usually started to run when the singer sang the chorus and jog when they sang the verse. I did this for 2-3 songs. I felt the difference in my heartbeat by mixing up the run and the jog. Too bad my Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS Receiver With Heart Rate Monitor hasn't arrived yet, otherwise I'd be able to know if I'm always in my zone or under. For sure I won't be over my zone.

Round 2: Day 50 - Dragging Beach Run
Ugh, today was a complete opposite from yesterday. I felt like I dragged my legs all the way through the route and eventually I had to break the run and did brisk walking halfway. Nevertheless, still worked out a good sweats and better than snoozing through the morning and didn't do any workouts, right?
Recovery week begins today and before I know it, next week will be the last phase of my second round of P90X.

Round 2: Day 49 - Beach Run
Love the beach run today. It was overcast, not too windy, not too cold and nobody was around until we ran on the way back.
Warm up (light walking): 0.5 miles
Run: 5.2 miles
Cool down: 1.9 miles
Total mileage: 7.6 miles
I'll be pretty much try to keep up with this distance an work more on my running speed. So far I might say I am not really running but more jogging? Heck, I don't even know what's really the difference. Does running mean I have to be fast? Anyway, more beach run tomorrow.

Round 2: Day 42 - Resistance Running
My butt and glute were a bit sore from yesterday's Legs & Back, but didn't stop me from my weekend beach run. It was a bit more windy this morning on one way, and I definitely felt more resistance. Unfortunately, my mileage this time wasn't as good as last week. I had to take a couple breaks in between run by doing brisk walking. My knees were acting up a bit, but not that bad actually.
The good thing? It was overcast and we got there early enough (before 6 am) so the beach trail was clear! On the way back, we started to see some people just started their run/jog/walk.
More run tomorrow!

Round 2: Day 35 - Run...Run..Run...
Morning beach run was great! I felt like I could just keep running nonstop, even after I reached to the point where I usually slowed down and stretched. It was a little windy on one direction, so I had a bit of resistance running against the cool wind. I felt like I wasn't sweating at all but once I turned around, I felt all the heat in my jacket. This morning was such a perfect weather, not too cold, even though it was overcast.

Round 2: Day 29 - Beach jog/run
I jogged a little more than yesterday and good thing my right foot wasn't acting up, though it was in the very beginning. However, it was hard to believe that I had a hard time to keep up with K's pace. Sometimes I think my endurance hasn't improved much yet, especially K didn't do exercise as regularly as I do, and yet he still has better pace than me.. It put me down in some ways, makes me feel all my efforts on P90X are useless. Yea I'm pretty competitive sometimes.

Round 2: Day 28 - 6 miles Beach jogging/brisk walking
I had to go easy on my right foot not to start bursting into running, otherwise it might be painful...again. But on the other hand once I got to this momentum, it was kinda hard to resist not to run instead of jog. Anyway, it was still a good workout. 6 miles brisk walking and jogging combination for a full 1 hour 45 minutes.

Round 2: Day 21: Beach workout
It was tougher than I thought to get up at 4:30 am on weekend. This morning I was debating whether I should forget the beach jog and got more Zs. But I conquered that! Also to my surprise, my abs was a bit sore today! Guess the reverse ARX yesterday did the trick! Not to mention I threw additional bunch of crunches after the main workout.
This morning workout was quite a blast. From brisk walking, jogging, running, sprinting and back to jog and brisk walking. On one way it was a bit tougher because we had to run against the wind but was a little easier on the way back. It wasn't too cold but for the first 30 minutes of my workout I couldn't sweat at all, my face, ears and hands were freezing cold. Regardless I kept going.
My husband K could jog pretty good, even towards the end I couldn't catch up with him when he was sprinting. Maybe because he's 5'11" and I'm only 5'5"? Not to mention he doesn't exercise every single day like me and yet he still has better endurance than me. Oh well it gives me another point of view that I need to work twice harder than I am. My right foot still feels a bit discomfort. When I was jogging/running, there were couple times I felt that I should just stop and did brisk walking. But my ego got in the way, especially seeing K kept keeping up with his pace without trouble. I consider myself to be a bit competitive sometimes.
Hopefully my right foot won't get worse tomorrow. Another beach run tomorrow morning.
